capture-relay is a personal tool built and run by one individual for their own use. It has no other users, no accounts to sign up for, and no commercial purpose.
With the owner’s explicit Google authorization, capture-relay uses the Google Tasks API
scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks solely to create tasks in the owner’s
own Google Tasks account. It does not read, modify, or delete anything else in that Google Account,
and it accesses no other Google service.
The text the owner dictates is sent over HTTPS to a private server the owner controls and is passed straight to Google Tasks. If Google is temporarily unreachable, the text is held in a local file on that server until it can be delivered, and is deleted once it is. An OAuth refresh token is stored on the same server with owner-only file permissions.
No data is sold, shared, transferred to third parties, used for advertising, or used to train any model. There are no analytics, trackers, or cookies. Nobody but the owner can read the data, and the endpoint rejects any request without the owner’s secret token.
The owner can revoke this application’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately and permanently ends all access. Deleting the server deletes every stored copy.
